Bradenham Housing

The design of sustainable quality rural homes across the spectrum of local community needs in the small village of Bradenham, Norfolk.

Working closely with Hastoe Housing, Clayland Architects used community involvement to steer the design process. Our scheme involved challenging preconceived views of ‘affordable housing’ to provide a high standard of design throughout the development which seamlessly blends affordable with open market housing.

The properties use traditional country style forms with a quality and variety of materials typical of our skilled craftsmen. The light and airy layouts benefit from the generous plot sizes, landscaping and a southerly aspect. The properties are specified to The Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and employ rainwater harvesting systems, heat pumps and heat recovery systems.
