Fees for planning applications are set to rise by 20 per cent from 17th January 2018. Parliament have approved legislation to increase fees in England and to introduce new categories for applications for Permissions in Principle.
What does this mean for you?
- The fee for a full application for a new dwelling will rise from £385 to £462.
- The fee for the enlargement, improvement or alteration of a single dwelling will rise from £172 to £206.
- The fee for the full application of more than 50 new dwellings will rise from £19,049 + £115 per additional dwelling (up to a maximum fee of £250,000) to £22,859 + £138 per additional dwelling (up to a maximum fee of £300,000).
